To support parents of SC children for education of their wards studying in class IX and X so that the incidence of drop-out, especially in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage is minimized,

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Backward Caste Students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.

Scholarship award will be sanctioned in the case of OBC student whose parents/guardians income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2,50,000/-per annum.
