The Punjab State Commission for Women Act was published on 2001. This Act was amended. The Amendment Acts is notified.
The functions of the Department of Local Government are to direct, supervise and control the functioning of all the Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Improvement Trusts in the State.
As per Rules, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dharamkot shall be the Chairman of the Board. In his absence, the members present shall select one member who shall preside over the meeting of the Board as its Chairman.
