A
BILL
to provide for the authorization of appropriation of moneys out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Punjab to meet the amounts spent on certain services during the financial years 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15, in excess of the amounts authorized or granted for those services and for these years.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-
1. Short title.
1. This Act may be called the Punjab Appropriation Act, 2019.
2. Issue of sums out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Punjab to meet certain expenditure for the financial years 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013- 14 and 2014-15
From and Out of the Consolidation Fund of the State of Punjab, the sums specified in column 5 of each of the Schedule I to IV, appended to this Act, amounting in the aggregate to the sums of Rs. 901,35,91,000/- (Nine hundred
one crore thirty five lac and ninety one thousand rupees only), Rs.769,59,79,000/- (Seven hundred sixty nine crore fifty nine lac and seventy nine thousand rupees only), Rs.386,38,40,000/- (Three hundred eighty six crore thirty eight lac and forty thousand rupees only) and Rs. 1608,07,81,000/- (One thousand six hundred eight crore seven lac and eighty one thousand rupees only) shall, respectively, be deemed to have been authorized to be paid and applied to meet the amounts spent for defraying the charges in respect of the services specified in column 2 of each of the aforesaid Schedules during the financial years 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15, in excess of the amounts authorized or granted for those services and for those years.
3. Appropriation.
The sums deemed to have been authorized to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Punjab under this Act, shall be deemed to have been appropriated for the services and purposes, specified in the Schedules I to IV in relation to the financial years 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15, respectively.
4. Overriding effect of the Act.
Notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act for the time being in force, the provisions of this Act shall prevail.
