1. Whereas The List of Scheduled Castes in Punjab State as incorporated in the Constitutional Order 1950 (as amended from time to time) includes Bhedukat and Manesh as Scheduled Castes which are Sub Caste of Sansi, a Vimukat Jati. In fact there are also 31 other sub-Castes of Sansi (S.C. Community in Punjab). A number of representations from the representatives of Gadria Jati have been receive by the Government from time to time, wherin it has been stated that while issuing caste certificates to them, the Certificate Issuing Authorities do not write Sansi (Gadria) in the Scheduled Castes Certificate, due to which they do not get various benefits, ment For the Scheduled Castes of Punjab.
2. In view of the above, Governor of Punjab is pleased to issue clarification regarding the certificates being issued to Gadria, Sub Caste of Sansi Caste, That while issuing certificate to Gadria, a word Sansi (Gadria) in the Scheduled Castes certificate may be written in the brackets to the members belonging to these Sansi (Gadria) in the Scheduled Castes certificate .
