Request to NGOs/ Charitable Trusts/ Firms/ Companies/ Benevolent Persons to Adopt Schools

The contribution of education for the development of a nation and for the prosperity of mankind has been acknowledged and applauded by all societies and in all times. The State of Punjab has been endeavoring to improve the various aspects of schools and schooling for incessantly delivery things Government Schools. Apart from equipping the schools with required infrastructure, various schemes and programmes have been implemented by the Department of School Education to enhance their delivery. With the intention of furthering this progress and to address the large financial deficit that schools face, the Department of School Education requests NGOs/ Charitable Trusts/ Benevolent Persons to adopt government schools in Punjab to address their critical infrastructure needs and for working with them to improve overall school performance and attractiveness. In addition, the schools can be supported in areas such as introducing digital education by setting up smart classrooms, constructing classrooms, laboratories and toilets, providing books in libraries, uniforms to students, furniture and green board in class rooms, creating infrastructure for MDM and sports, installing solar power system, RO system or by any other way that the donor and the school deem fit.

The interested NGOs/ Charitable Trusts/ Firms/ Companies / Benevolent persons may express their intention on the email “adoptgovtschools@punjabeducation.gov.in”. The Department has nominated Dr. Maninder Singh Sarkaria, Assistant Director (SCERT) as the Nodal Officer to facilitate adoption of schools who can be contacted on his cell number 9501016540.
