  1. Kindly inform me the rule which provides that a police officer of punjab police shall not be promoted if a criminal case is pending against him.

    And also inform me what will be the consequence if a promotee police officer does not disclose the number of criminal cases pending against him

  2. As per Punjab Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, a Govt. employee can not be promoted if there is any criminal case is pending against him or there is any departmental proceedings has been started against him.

    In that case, such may be considered as “suppression of facts”.

  3. kindly inform me that if a police file containing case diary and investigating notes including statements of complainant, witness, is destroyed or lost, can it be reconstructed or not. if yes, how and from where ? And who can reconstruct it ? Please refer the relevant provision.

  4. What if a selected sub inspector in punjab police gives in writing that he doesn’t want the job but changes his mind after that..will he get the post of sub inspector ..what are the rules for that..please respond soon..thanks

  6. It is depending on the progress of the letter. try to withdraw the letter as soon as possible. Contact to the office.

  10. As peg the provision of PPR seniority of ‘C’ listed constable is maintained from the order of merit of Lawyer school course. If 2 candidates have scored same order of merit who will be considered Senior and under which rule??

  13. If the departmental proceeding is pending and during pendency of RDE 3rd ACP is due then it is not granted and after that in enquiry hold guilty and appeal also rejected. Please tell from the initiation of enquiry till order of punishment whether this period will be counted as punishment. Whether 3rd ACP arrear of this period should not be granted . please tell rule about this

  17. Kindly sent me, those rules which are mentioned in punjab police act, that a police Constable had got a NOC Certificate from police department and he has selected to another job. Now will he relevied from that department without filling any amount or pay. I shall be very thankful to you sir

  19. There is only a rule in book no one is implementing it all .l have judged that only Police Officers are giving punishments instead giving reward or welfare help we need .

  29. Sir,I m an offciting asi permoted on 20-12-2013 and my probation period 2 years completed on 20-12-2015 .I punished “withholding of permotion for one year”on 14.2.2018.   30. What about the suspended constables, either these are eligible to appear in A- list examinations, while other conditions of eligibility are met but he is suspended because of involvement in criminal case.

  32. How is direct recruitment as Head constable in Punjab police taking place. According to chapter 12 direct recruitment is only to rank of constable and promotion is only way to be a Head constable . Please reply for this query.
