Providing of Equipment & Raw-Material to the Trainees of Training-Cum-Production Centres of Welfare Department

PROVIDING OF EQUIPMENT AND RAW-MATERIAL TO THE TRAINEES OF TRAINING-CUM-PRODUCTION CENTRES OF WELFARE DEPARTMENT (SCA)

The Scheme of Training cum Production Centre was started in the year 1977-78. The aim of the scheme is to make the Scheduled Caste women and girls and boys trained in the technical trades and to enable them to supplement the income of their families to make them self employed and awakening them for a respectable living. The detail of Training cum production centres, imparting training in different trades in the State is as under:-

There is one post of instructor of the concerned trade in each centre.
Norms for Shifting Training cum production Centre in a Village:-

a) Centres are being shifted in those villages where the population of Scheduled Caste families is more than 40 and majority of them belongs to BPL families.

b) A good rent free building with proper arrangement of Water and Light to be arranged by the concerned village panchayat and community should be ready to participate in the activities of the centre.

Working

Duration of training is one year. During the training, the items will be prepared in the centres by the trainees will be sold on 10% profit by the trainees, by holding exhibitions on different occasions. Funds received from the income are utilized as revolving funds for the purchase of raw material of the concerned trade for imparting training to the trainee.

Norms for Distribution of funds:

For the smooth functioning of 08 Training cum production centres, 25 scheduled caste trainees living below poverty line of each TCPC will be given stipend @ Rs. 500/­per month per trainees under the scheme.
