Promotion of Education Among Educationally Backward Classes (Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Students (Covered under Social Security Fund) (Non Plan)
Introduction
This scheme is being implemented by the D.P.I. (S) at school level. Under this scheme, scholarship is given to the students belonging to scheduled caste studying from 6th to 8th class, admission fees and tuition fees paid by the students is also reimbursed to them.
Year of Start
This scheme was introduced during the year 1968.
Norms
This scheme has been covered under Dedicated Social Security Fund during the year 2005-06. The scholarship under this scheme is given to Scheduled Caste students whose parent’s/ guardian’s annual income does not exceed Rs. 50,000/- per annum. The rates of scholarship under this scheme are given as under:-
