Name of the scheme:- Dr. Hargobind Khurana Scholarship Scheme

1) Objective of the Scheme:-

Dr. Hargobind Khurana Scholarship Scheme was launched by the Punjab Government on dated 01-08-2013 . The objective of the scheme is to provide scholarship to the brilliant students who are studying in Government schools & Adarsh Schools affiliated to PSEB and scored 80% and above marks in matriculation. The annual assistance will be given Rs. 30,000/- to the meritorious students for two years Senior Secondary Education.

2) Eligibility Criteria/Who can apply:–

Under this scheme, the candidates who passed matriculation examination from Government and Adarsh Schools affiliated to PSEB scored 80% and above marks are eligible. The result of marks obtained to be got verified from the concerned Education Board.The scholarship is given under Dr. Hargobind Khurana Scholarship Scheme.

3) Benefits/Assistance given:-

Under this scheme, Rs. 2500 per month will be given as scholarship to the student i.e. the annual assistance will be given Rs. 30,000/- to the meritorious students for two years Senior Secondary Education.

5) List of document required to be submitted by the beneficiary (attach specimen formats as Annexure(s), wherever required:-

After every three months the list of candidates/ students who continue his/her studies, their attendance record, marks obtained in concerned test will have to be submitted by the concerned Principal/Head of the department to the concerned District Education Officer.

6) How to Apply/Procedure to submit application:-

Every year a list of eligible students (who passed matriculation examination scoring 80% and above marks from Government and Adarsh School affiliated to PSEB) is taken from Punjab School Education Board. The list of the students is sent to the concerned DEO for preparing proposal.

7) Where to submit application:-

Student -> School head/principal ->D.E.O(SE)->D.P.I(SE)

8) Service delivery time-line:-

After receiving the budget from the Government the funds are transferred to DEO online.

9) Formats of sanctions to be received by the beneficiary (to be added as annexure):-

The amount is transferred directly to the bank account of the student

  4. THOSE WHO ARE studying IN polytechnic COLLEGES DOING DIPLOMA IN CIVIL engineer AFTER 10TH CAN APPLY FOR IT? kindly reply.. one of my students has been sent back by his college staff.. They said that they have not heard of it…plz guide me..the student is brilliant (86% in 10)

Maine 2015 mein 10 pass ki or mere 90% marks aaye the 2016 mein Maine hargobind kurana wala form fill kiya tha but paise nhi hai an scholarship bare kal maine News paper mein padha tho ab muhje yeh pta krna hai K form ab fill again kr sakti hu K nhi or yeh form kisi Cafe se fill hoga school se plzz guide me

  15. 🙏🙏respected sirI have passed 10th class inmarch2018and gotabove80%marks.I had admitted in meritorious but Due to illness I dropout that year and in2019I got admission in govt school and applied in this scheme.I govt 3932Rsin march2020.but now injan2021I have received notice from D.E.O for recovery.I want to know that why I am not eligible for this.Is this any condition .

  18. Sir / mam main 2016 ch 10th complete kiti c with 84%marks in govt. School… And schlorship lyi v apply kita c school vaaliyan ne but still 2021 tak Mnu nhi mili… Plz jldi bhej do taan ki agli study continue Kr skiye

Sir ma govt girls Sen sec school Katra karm Singh di students ha ma 2018 vich 10th class pass kiti c te 2019 nu Mera dr hargobind kurana wala form fill kita c te mam ne kha c ki 2019,2020 da scholarship milni c per mili nhi sir mere 10th class vich 90% to above marks aaye c please sir meri scholarship bhej diti jave ta jo Manu study continue karn vich koi problem na aye

  21. Sir mai Ssd. Govt school Machhiwara, teh- samrala, dist. Ludhiana da student aa . Mai 2016 vich scholarship lyi apply kita si par hale tak scholarship ni ayi.

  22. ਮੈ ਵੀ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਵਜੀਫਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ।

    mai 2019 vich apni 10th 81% marks de nal pass out kiti c. Jisde layi mainu dr Hargobind khurana scheme de teht 30,000/ milne c. jisdi rashi mainu hun tak jari nahi kiti .
    Mai request karda k isdi rashi mainu jari kiti jawe ta jo mai apni agge di study continue kar saka.

  32. VERY BAD DECISION BY THE GOVERNMENT THAT THIS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME IS ONLY FOR THOSE STUDENTS WHO HAVE STUDIED FROM PSEB SCHOOLS
    THEN WHY THE DEPARTMENT IS READY TO ENROL OTHER BOARD STUDENTS
    Punjab government always take wrong decision

  33. I had clear matriculation with 90% marks in pseb. There is forms filled of this scholarship 4 times. But i didn’t received this scholarship yet. I cleared 10th in 2017 . I urgently need of this scholarship for my further study. Roll no -1017354097
